About Pip Carter

Hello, I am Pip Carter an illustrator and author based in Swansea, Wales, UK.

My illustrations are colourful and expressive, incorporating modern and traditional styles. I hand draw using ink and pencil, and add colour using both traditional watercolour and digital painting. I enjoy drawing nature, landscapes, people, animals, food, travel, buildings, and textile design.

Originally from York, I studied for a degree inIllustration at UCE Birmingham and an MA in Sequential Design at the University of Brighton, where I developed my narrative skills and love of storytelling. 

I enjoy roaming the wild and rolling Gower and Pembrokeshire coast with my sketch book, taking inspiration from nature.
